ABOUT US

I am Orville Russell and I was born in Kingston Jamaica and raised in Spanish Town Jamaica.

I attended Crescent All Age School and the St. Catherine High School in Jamaica. While in high school I played football and rugby. Football for the school where we were was very successful from Junior through to senior year. I also represented the Jamaica Junior Rugby Football Team where we toured countries like Cayman Island, Canada and the United States.

I migrated to Canada where I attended Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute. I represented the school football team winning the high school title in 1992.

I attained my High School Diploma but then returned to Jamaica in 1993. I attended St. Joseph High School where I obtained my GCSE and CXC subjects.

I developed an early love for the music business and entertainment as a teenager. Seeing the influence and impact the Jamaican culture had on people outside of Jamaica. I started as a performer but then on my many trips to the recording studios in Kingston Jamaica, I fell in love with the recording and business side of the music business.

There I met many of the popular and upcoming recording artists, Bounti Killa, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Shaggy to name a few. I was introduced to Banky and music executive and artist manager who managed many reputable acts such as Shabba Ranks, Patra, Mad Cobra, Richie Stephenson and Bounti Killa. He introduced me to Rorey Baker who was and still is Sly and Robbie studio and mixing engineer as well as their tour engineer. There I met Sly Dunbar and the late Robbie Shakespare where we shared many great moments and memories.

There I learned the art of recording production and a concept for production, recording instruments and vocals. I was involved in many high profile studio sessions with the likes of Shaggy, Sean Paul, Mr Lex.

I went on to produce a few artists namely Vybz Kartel, Fantan Mojah, Shane O, Turbulence and Shasha to name a few.

I migrated to the UK in 2001 where as a fan of the music I developed a love for show production and event planning.

I started in the bus industry as a bus driver in 2006 and became an iBus Controller in 2010.

In November 2009 I had my first event called Bus Drivers Link Up. This was started as a means to socialize and let our hair down for the stress associated with the job. This event continues to evolve and grow where it is now held biannually. It has become known as the working class event attended by people in the bus industry as well as a wide cross section of the society.

There is the Bus Drivers Link Up Champagne and Brandy Ball Black Tie Dinner and Dance and the Bus Drivers Link Up all White Summer Party.

Both events are eagerly anticipated and well attended.
